The Green Sage has an amazing selection of local food. Their brunch on Sundays is always packed. As well it should be - the homemade biscuits are great (and so are the fresh eggs and homemade pancakes).
For lunch or dinner I really do enjoy the smoked trout salad sandwich. Made with trout from right here in the Appalachians, it's fresh and oh so delicious.
I have sometimes found that the staff is not so attentive and at times even rude. There have been rumors that this has been taken care of there, but it's been a while since I've been back and I don't know first-hand.
If you can stomach the somewhat high prices and occasionally inattentive service, the food goes down very well.
